80th Generation Disciple of Mao Shan Daoist Monastery

Francesca travels regularly to China for advance study with her master; she is honored as the only female of non-Asian descent to be an initiated inner disciple of the renowned Mao Shan Daoist Monastery, where the famous herbalist, Sun Si Miao practiced. In teaching, she blends her innate ability and training with the wisdom of her mentors to enhance her students’ diagnostic skills.

Francesca lectures internationally, emphasizing the importance of standing meditation, self-reflection and attention to subtle detail to cultivate enhanced qi flow and awareness. Her students, by fourth semester, will stand in meditation for one hour as part of the final. With her rich fusion of style she brings energy and enthusiasm to her classes.

Medical Qigong treatments give Francesca’s patients opportunity to release energetic stagnations without the use of needles. Traditional Chinese Medicine understands the body, the emotions, and the spirit are integrative parts of the whole human being. Balancing the energy in each area remains vital for health. L. Francesca Ferrari treats her patients with acupuncture and/or Qigong using healing sounds which vibrate Qi stagnations and trapped emotions. For those comfortable with acupuncture, disposable needles are used.

L. Francesca Ferrari is Associate Dean of Medical Qigong Science at Five Branches University. In addition to managing a successful Traditional Chinese Medicine practice, she teaches ongoing Medical Qigong classes for the public. L. Francesca Ferrari lectures both locally and internationally on the topic of Medical Qigong to inspire living with optimal vitality.
