L. Francesca Ferrari's innate intuitive ability served her well in beginning her work in energetic healing in 1994, when she was selected by a Samoan Kahuna to pass his teachings to the next generation of healers. Francesca was then introduced to the Kahunas long time friend, Miriam Lee, Oriental Medical Doctor (O.M.D.).
Miriam Lee, O.M.D., a founding member of the Californian acupuncture community, encouraged Francesca into the formal training of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Shortly after, Francesca was accepted to begin her foundational training at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco, California. Her academic instruction continued at Five Branches Institute College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Cruz, California, where she focussed her time in the disciplines of Golden Shield Qigong and Medical Qigong. |
| MEDICAL BACKGROUND |
Ms. Ferrari began her work in energetic medicine as a disciple of shamanistic healing, in 1994. Under the watchful eye of her mentor, Sui Masanai, a Samoan Kahuna, he began to enhance her ability in distance healing, remote viewing, spirit travel, soul retrieval and advance energy work.
In the same year she began a second tutelage with one of acupuncture’s historical founders Miriam Lee, O.M.D. Lee began to teach Ms. Ferrari the art of Chinese Guasha, Tonifying, Purging and Regulating Qi, as well as Differential Diagnosis of Traditional Chinese Medical principles. This relationship continued until 1996, when Ms. Ferrari entered the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, California.
Ms. Ferrari’s formal TCM instruction began at the America College of TCM, under the guidance of professor Bai Bing Zhu, Professor Daniel Jiao, and Professor Denise Hsu. She then transferred to Five Branches Institute, College and Clinic of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Cruz, California where she also apprenticed with Dean of Acupuncture, Frank He, L.Ac., to complete her graduate degree. After an additional 2 years of clinical training she received her masters degree and passed the California State license examination to be an Acupuncturist and Herbologist in 2000.
